Vaseline?!?!?!

Getting started with this product. At first the product feels like I'm rubbing my legs in oily petroleum jelly, it's so thick [even if you only apply a little bit] that the product gets stuck in the razor which is absolutely gross. Second, it's almost non-smelling, you can feel hints here and there, but for most parties, it smells like JUST VASELINE. I had to read the ingredient list multiple times to make sure they weren't there, but the smell is so overpowering it's a greasy, harsh smell of…

Good product but smells like mint not coconut lime

I was expecting it to smell like Pina Colada or something but instead the scent reminds me of Andes Crème De Menthe Chocolate Mints! Definitely a minty taste, and unfortunately no noticeable coconut or lime scent. Smells good, just not as described and not what I expected. In general the product works well. As others have mentioned, it contaminates the razor so I have to rinse it out quite often while I shave. I usually use Kiss My Face Moisture Shave, which I really like, but I found the…

Failing All Round - Shaving and Hair Removal

I wanted something gentle and unscented to shave those very sensitive areas if you know what I mean. This thing burns like Dickens! Using it there is less convenient than a can of regular shaving cream that I use on my legs. It was so uncomfortable that I immediately washed it off. Tried using it elsewhere but found it totally unsuitable as a shaving lube, razor (new, sharp) snags and hangs on hair. I gave up after a few hits. I think that stuff belongs in the trash.

Counterfeit product. Filled bottle with some 3lse

This is NOT what the product claims. I don't know what they put in there, but my bottle had no bowls and was filled with what can only be described as toothpaste-scented gel. Even my little son said, "Mom! It smells like mint! L" when I showered. Buyer warning. This is not the product it says it is. I don't know what they fill those bottles with.

  • Finally bought

  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

The only "shaving cream " I buy

The term "shaving cream" is a misnomer. It really is a shaving balm, an ointment more like Neosporin than traditional shaving cream. But I digress. What I love about this product is that it stays clear, which is a huge plus if you have a beard (which I do). With traditional creams I usually end up with a crooked edge that I then have to go back and try to fix. This "shaving balm" lets me see the edge of my beard clearly so I can get it right the first time. It also has a pleasant scent that is…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

I recently selected three new shaving creams/gels to compare with The Art of Shaving. The art of shaving is the undisputed champion. Gillette Foamy Regular is the benchmark for acceptable. Here's the breakdown: First, it's a tool. I have tried 4 Blade Schick, Mach3 and Fusion. I keep going back to my trusted Gillette Sensor3 Conditioning[green] disposable wipes. After shaving, I use Art of Shaving [lemon or sandalwood] aftershave lotion. It's around $30 a bottle, which may sound expensive, but…

Economical shaving cream

I don't usually give my opinion on something simple and harmless, but in this case it can be useful. You can easily and precisely control the amount of gel you squeeze out, and you only need to apply a very small amount to get a "smooth" finish that allows the razor to glide easily over skin (some people may think that a smooth surface feels "smooth" to the touch). slimy and too unconventional) Lasted several months on the cutting edge of the blade(s) with a jet parallel to the flat surface of…

Best shaving cream

I originally received this product from a friend. He thought it looked interesting, but for some reason he didn't like it. So hey, I'll try it for free. You should know that it's more "cream" than "cream". The consistency of this product is more like a very thick creamy hair conditioner. It does NOT lather like you might think some of those gel shaving creams do. I'm one of those baby-faced people (even in my 50's) but I have a thick beard. I hate shaving, but this is the right thing to do. One

Dirty but works well and smells great

I have seen many complaints about this product in reviews. However, I have been using it for several years and am very satisfied. First, it moisturizes very well, so you don't have to pre-soak your beard with hot water. A little room temperature or cold water works great. Secondly, you only need to apply a thin layer for it to work. It's a little messy, so every few strokes I wipe off the excess with a tissue. If you do this, the shaver will not clog up too much. I shave well and, above all…
