Fits a bit off

I bought this for my 2001 VW Convertible. The fit was a bit off as it left a small gap. Overall, this serves a purpose and helps prevent water ingress.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Updates

Fits my 2000 Mk3.5 Convertible

Revain does not always fit my cars. But on this subject it was correct. This fits my 2000 VW convertible. I also bought a small 4" antenna.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons

Fits but is expensive: AV Accessory

Too expensive for a piece of plastic but it's the only one I could find for my 1999 VW Convertible so no choice. I boiled it for two minutes and used some lube to put it on the base, not perfect but looks good enough.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Fits

Looks like a new feature of the car.

Perfect fit for wings and neckline. I put the sleeve in boiling water, put petroleum jelly over the square, no rubber, a pair of gloves and a nozzle on the sleeve, it fits with no problems. All work is carried out from the top of the wing.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Appearance

Fits very well. for automotive and automotive electronics

For those having trouble fitting a new grommet to the antenna housing. It took a while to search through some VW forums, but we found a fix that makes the installation easier. First bring a pot of water to a boil, then immerse the antenna sleeve in the water for about 2 minutes. This allows the socket to be attached more flexibly.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Anything I can add

slipped firmly but once tightened fit perfectly - 2001 convertible

I used my wife's hand cream to apply to the small ball on the bottom of the antennas on my 2001 convertible. . I had to push a little, clamp it with a wrench and push down slowly, but it slid down and firmly entered the hole in the wing for the antennas. The seal around the wing worked. Feel the inside of the wing, there are no gaps. This is a tight fit. (I have no idea where the original part went - potholes in New Jersey are pretty annoying - but I'm really glad someone thought of making a…

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Expensive for what it is - but it works

The only thing I didn't like was the price (hence it took me about 4 months to buy it) but if like me you've been looking for that MKIII golf part you know it's there . there is not much. However, it fit perfectly and was easy to assemble. Is it worth it? No. Even at $5 I'd feel cheated on this part, but beggars can't make up their minds and at least this works well and fits snugly. If you can control the price, buy it. Looks very high quality and hopefully lasts a long time.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
