Great book

While this is another great book by Beth Russell showing her versions of Morris's work, it's not exactly a prime example. It shows a color image of tiny boxes. There are no distinguishable characters. She tells you what colors she uses out of the 10 skeins sold on her website, but almost none of them are in the cheaper dmc colours.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

New edition of the classic

This book is a new edition of the Victorian Needlepoint. It has new images and, more importantly, new computer diagrams. If you saw the old one, the maps were hand drawn and illegible in places. This edition has clear patterns so you don't have to guess what color is used or where the stitches are. And the designs are beautiful and timeless. I have an old issue and just received it. A must for craft fans!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors appeared

Much more than an embroidery book "Office trip "

I'm a big fan of Arts & Crafts architecture. I made pilgrimages to the Gamble House in Pasadena and the William Morris Museum in London. I have collected books on crafts, textiles, bungalows and more. As I also love needlework (although my major is quilting), how can I resist a book on embroidery in the same genre? Well, for a couple of years I _could_ because I'm new. On the other hand, I found a copy of Beth Russell's "Arts and Crafts" for sale and thought I could use it as "inspiration" even

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • No show
