I thought it ripped right out of the box. I haven't read the instructions. Doesn't work, changed batteries and nothing. I decided to read the instructions after reading that you have to press the power button for 3 seconds. It worked fine. You wouldn't think you need to read the soap dispenser instructions, but you do.

In less than 2 months of use I used 4 sets of brand new batteries. I only use it 2-3 times a day but the red light is on 24/7. Not sure if mine is bad or what, but I'm outside the returns window and stuck because I don't want to spend money on new batteries. I bought a different brand for my kitchen and am still on the same 1st set of batteries and using A LOT more.

4 different settings for the amount to be donated is good. And it doesn't drip! It also looks beautiful. First it makes a noise, and then the soap comes out, so I have to keep my hand there a second longer. But just as much time as with a pump and less mess because the soap doesn't run down the sides of the dispenser. Suitable for the kitchen when hands are already wet. It's nice to be careful what you touch these days. Good value for money!

The pump sensors are working great. The problem with the pump is that it needs to be refilled every time. Watch the attached video. I used my sister's soap pump (another more expensive brand) and the soap comes out right away every time. At first this pump works and after a few seconds soap comes out. If it has not been used for a short period of time, it must be refilled before using the soap. Very disappointed, especially with all the great reviews. return of this item.

For the first two or three days this automatic soap dispenser worked great. By the fourth day I noticed he had used up all the soap which made no sense. I refilled it and set it to the lowest possible value. Then I tried it and it would turn on and literally wouldn't turn off until there was no more soap left. I gave it another chance, cleaned it, checked the batteries and it just decided it won't turn off once it's on. Defective and returned

I purchased this dispenser and followed the instructions to fill the soap reservoir and add 4 AA batteries. The engine hums on for no reason the next day. I think something got in his way, so I move all objects away from the sensor, clear the soap out of the mess, and then restart. 2 minutes later the motor hums again and hums and hums and hums on. I'm holding the power button. He keeps humming. I press the off button. He keeps humming. Soap is everywhere now. Again! I take out the batteries…

*Update: Seller offered me money to remove this negative review* After first use, the dispenser self dispensed after use. So I turned it off. The next time I used it, after holding down the ON button (yes, for many seconds and many, many tries), it would not turn on. I tried everything I could. I was ready to let it die, but the next day I miraculously turned it on! After I washed my hands it started popping out on its own again.
