The Belkin Digital Camera Link is by far the best way to back up photos straight from your digital camera to your iPod. I use my DCL with a 20GB iPod 4G and it works fine. Because it's USB 1.1 based, the transfer isn't as fast as the FireWire card reader connected to my G4, but the speed is decent. You connect the DCL to the iPod and then connect the camera.
