They are good for straight connecting profiles where the channels are aligned. However, you cannot remove the tabs, so a connection where the channels do not line up will not work.

I bought these to use with a 15 series 8020 aluminum case and they fit perfectly. I unfortunately broke one in half (simply by pushing down on a 1 foot section of 8020). They work great but I'm not going to use them for anything load bearing.

I did a large project in 4040 aluminum and ordered many angles and other fasteners from Boeray. No problems with any of them. Although I'm using all the metrics I've tested and they're good for 15 series. I walk back and forth on a small extension that is in the canal; sometimes I have to grind it to secure the crosses and sometimes it comes in handy when fastening the bar under axial loading. They're not the prettiest, but they always do their job.
