Makes our old ironing board look new

We moved in 2 months ago and almost threw away our Brabantia ironing board because the cover was dirty and the felt was falling apart. Then I remembered how much it had cost and was pleased to discover that the new top cost less than $15. The new one fits perfectly, my only warning is be careful when you open the packaging there are a few small parts packed in a sleeve that flies. went out and got lost.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • thin

A good cover for an excellent ironing board

I bought the cover as a replacement cover that came with the ironing board. The cover fits well; Thick pillow works well. My only caveat in recommending a case is that the fabric isn't as strong or dense as I would have liked. A heavier and denser fabric (lightweight canvas or poplin) is more comfortable and durable. Considering the price, in the future I will probably use my old cover as a pattern to make another one with improved fabric rather than buying a new cover.

Fits freely. Needs more padding and tighter cords

I bought this sleeve for my board because it's the same brand. I was expecting it to have more padding, but the coating and padding still felt a little loose no matter how tight I pulled the string, and I could feel the board's iron grid through the coating. Also, I had a hard time pulling out the slack to keep it from moving under the weight of my iron. So I put the old cap and fairing back on and the new cap and fairing on top. It helped a lot. Never feels like they're new. But close enough…

Disappointing. fits ironing board covers

After more than 10 years of heavy use, the foam insert in my Brabantia cover has dissolved, prompting me to buy a new cover and insert. The new liner is no worse than the original cover. The narrow end is sewn on loosely and can easily fall apart. The lid doesn't close properly and has a lot of creases on the top. I hope some of them smooth out. The company sign is sewn on top of the ironing surface and not like the original below. The ironing surface must be flat and smooth; I don't want the…

Not tight; the foam breaks down.

As I originally posted this review I have decided to return it. The pad is sewn so poorly that it won't stretch no matter how hard you pull on the very fine threads that are designed to pull it together, creating a flat, wrinkle-free surface. Not happy - bought this to replace the cover that originally came with my Brabantia ironing board. The foam in the original pad dissolved, ripped, and fell through the board's mesh. I figured "felt" meant there was a layer of felt underneath the foam that…

Brabantia quality isn't what it used to be and false advertising

Firstly the advertised product is 'very thick foam and felt backing'. This was for my original cover. Now there is only a cheap foam layer, but no felt. Initially there were separate layers, but now the foam is sewn to the cover so the lack of a felt layer is not visible. The product information on the package shows that it is only cotton cover and polyester foam --- no felt. It's not particularly thick. Second, the design has changed. The sewn-in foam now creates a seam at the edge of the…

Total disgust at the apparent change in size and quality

I have been using a Brabantia ironing board for over a decade. I liked it so much that I bought one of these expensive ironing boards for each of my daughters. From time to time I would order and replace expensive felt pads and expensive ironing board covers. In the past I have sometimes waited many months patiently for my orders to be fulfilled and shipped. Due to backorders or long lead times, I have ordered from different sites hoping for faster shipping. I always took the color ecru. So far

I give Revain 5 stars even though

Revain was incredibly quick to respond! I have my second change today. Thank you again Revain. I really appreciate your efforts. However, this has nothing to do with Revain, although this product is just bad and looks awfully cheap, so we're just wasting our money. If it was around $10 I would compromise the quality. The first was just broken and the second had big brown spots. I'll leave my rating at the first rating. Hope this helps you: I just got a replacement. And this time BIG DIRTY…

  • Definitely a bad product
