Now I can lock my bag!

These little locks worked well on a recent international flight so I felt my 'stuff' was secure when handling luggage. I also used them in a hotel room so I knew my souvenirs wouldn't go away until we got home. All four keys are the same, so we don't have to worry about losing the key.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Doesn't work - Luggage locks

Only one lock and key out of 4 works. Fumbling around with locks and keys, I end up getting another key that works with two more locks. The keys appear to have been cut incorrectly. If you take them anywhere, you risk not getting in your luggage. How sad. I've had these Brinks locks before and they NEVER gave out. I lost her keys so I threw them away.

Good Quality TSA Approved Luggage Locks

Brinks TSA Approved Standard Luggage Locks. They all have the same key, so you don't have to carry several different keys with you when you travel. I bought 4 packs for a longer trip abroad (3 checked bags and a carry-on) and so far they have worked as expected. The quality seems solid (brass) and they fit most luggage locking mechanisms. They really offer (some) peace of mind with luggage being checked in or left in a hotel where you at least locked it :)

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose

Simple and Effective: Luggage and Gear

Traveling abroad can be a challenge to keep everything in place and organized. Luggage locks are necessary because in some countries the difference between havers and havenots is greater and stealing unlocked luggage is just too tempting. Thus, they will not deter a determined thief, only an adventurous thief. So finding the keys to all the locks can be a challenge in itself. The solution was to have all 4 locks with the same key. My wife lost her key but I was able to open her locks so…

Minimum vs. maximum security: We fly on the wing and pray

They were good primarily for ensuring that the zippers of gym bags and luggage do not break and the contents spill. Look it up on YouTube: there are so many ways for determined thieves to steal things and not even be spotted (a pen is used to unzip and then rezip the zip in the right position - only one way). I doubt that people are often brave enough to steal things from bags stacked in an airplane's overhead compartment, but if they do it will slow them down, at least for a moment.

  • Very good value for money

You have to fight them for it to work properly.

Works well. But if you've ever had to work with an old rusty lock, then you feel this way. I've bought other TSA locks that were more expensive but didn't want to spend money on more so I bought these. Now I wish I had spent more. This money cannot be exchanged or returned. The good news is the key is the same number as the locks I already have so there is a bonus. I can use one key for all. The keys I received with these locks did not have the same finesse as another manufacturer's keys. The…

Ideal for a pelican

Ideal for a pelican. I have used several locks on my Pelikan suitcases and most of them have broken due to rough handling at the airport. That's why we have a Pelikan case that stands up to rough handling. It lacks many features, like input notification and key lock until reclose, but it's solid for its size. in circulation but not broken or bent. The hinge is just big enough to snap and small enough to prevent the case from opening unless properly latched. Just a tip, if you want an "open"…

  • Feels good

  • Unreliable

Absolutely good and safe for the budget conscious buyer

I have decided to use these locks for about a year before reviewing. Since the purchase they have made several flights by plane. First, yes, TSA checked our bags multiple times, so they opened them with their key instead of cutting them off. There is no problem with that. The locks look a little flimsy at first glance, but there is some strength in the body of the locks. The locking mechanism feels a little clunky like there are some poorly formed parts inside, but the clasp works and has…

TSA low security lock. Travel with a little more security.

Will be tried on an international flight in a few months, update if necessary. snagged on a conveyor when handling transit luggage - saved me from broken zips - putting it on a closed double zip plays a key role: tuck it where least likely to get snagged. Pros: - It allows me to travel and secure my luggage - Small size probably won't hang around too much or get caught on conveyor belts or anything - Price was reasonable for the size and security these locks offer - TSA markings on below to…
