Solid MFD is great for the job

Purchased to replace an inkjet MFP that is eating cartridges. So far, this laser MFD has exceeded our expectations. The only oddity I've seen so far is that the connected PC has to reset the USB connection after a power outage for a few days, but that's just a minor inconvenience.

Unable to control reception mode

This fax does not give you proper control over when it answers. We have two phone numbers with a distinctive ringtone and voicemail provided by our phone provider. This fax machine isn't smart enough to handle everything. It is either completely disabled or takes over every call. This makes it unusable in today's home office environment.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Unreliable

DO NOT BUY THIS best from Office Electronics

I bought the Sprinter thinking it would be easy to set up. It didn't help that they came to hang up and either left me on hold for 45 minutes. I hung up and they made me wait another 45 minutes. This company is terrible. I just had my brother's printer at work so it's much better not to buy it

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Exchange Availability

This is a traditional old fashioned fax machine that works well and a black and white copier. The fax machine plugs directly into a phone jack, which is a harder and harder thing to find on machines these days, which is why I bought it. Black and white copies just aren't as good as an inkjet printer that can print in color. I wanted to connect it to my computer but there is no CD in the computer. I have called Canon 3 times and was delayed by more than half an hour and never received an answer.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • So far so good

Works perfectly since I bought it 2 months ago.

Top loader is fast and quiet. It didn't stick to me unless I used crumpled paper. The paper tray has a large capacity. Instead of putting the handset up, I plugged the cordless phone into the back and used the fax line as a back-up. The print quality is good. Many programmable options. The downside is that the 128 toner cartridge is expensive. You can use regular cartridges, which are much cheaper, without losing quality. Replacement Blake 128 suited me. What you need to know is that the fax…

Excellent replacement FaxPhone L170

I send and receive a lot of faxes during the working day. I've been using Cannon FAXPhone L170 since 2007. It's been a real workhorse but unfortunately the L170 has had to be replaced. I bought this FAXPhone L190 and was duly impressed with its presentation, easy installation and very clear documentation. The basic user guide is well written in plain English with excellent illustrations. The tray holds up to 250 sheets of paper. The control panel is clear and easy to read. I was also impressed…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

You get what you pay for. It's not a very high quality car. It's mostly plastic. Recently 2 hinges holding the main cover to open over the paper tray broke. This is not the part that attaches to the glass bed, which is more commonly used. I almost never open the bottom of the lid unless I change the toner every few months. One day I heard a loud "click" and looked around to see that the lid was slightly off balance. The loop broke on its own. A week later I went to another. The only thing…
