I'm in the Northeast. It always seems to me that I am always warmer than those around me. That being said, I needed a winter coat that isn't heavy 3 in 1. That's almost always too much for me. This coat has kept me warm in cold weather. I got this one because it was so light and also had a hood. I'm 6ft 2190lbs and the Large fits me perfectly. This coat isn't tailored, but it's not baggy either.

Very warm, well made, packed in an inside pocket. It doesn't pack super small, though. This is a very heavy synthetic down. Some of the other brands I checked out seemed to be half full and it seemed like you didn't get what you paid for. With this you will definitely get a soft synthetic down coat! I love this jacket. It's not designed for heavy use and I wouldn't wear it in winter or in the rain as it's not fully waterproof but great for everyday use. Looks great and keeps you warm, but is worth the steep price
