Everything eventually gets discarded so if it can be returned to nature quickly and safely I would choose this product over any other. These bowls worked well as a latex paint bowl while I was painting my house. When I was done, I threw away the bowl along with the disposable brush.

Love these trays from this particular company. They are durable, microwavable and most importantly, biodegradable by Mother Nature. I use these primarily for cat food bowls and they are great compared to the paper/styrofoam bowls I bought at the dollar store. Turns out they're not that much more expensive, but the biodegradable aspect makes it worth it, especially in our already polluted world. This is one more thing I can do to help our ecology.

I bought these bowls specifically to feed my cats inside and out. I was attracted to their flat design and compostability. They worked great. They hold up well when fed wet food. I've also used them to serve ice cream and fruit with no problems. It didn't leak at all, but when thrown on the compost heap, it decomposed easily in a few days.
