I bought these bowls specifically to feed my cats inside and out. I was attracted to their flat design and compostability. They worked great. They hold up well when fed wet food. I've also used them to serve ice cream and fruit with no problems. It didn't leak at all, but when thrown on the compost heap, it decomposed easily in a few days. Now I can avoid the endless washing up of pet food without feeling guilty for making the garbage problem worse. Worth the extra cost. A note: Meat-based pet food dishes should not be disposed of in a conventional compost heap. These panels are in a separate area in my garden but the benefit remains the same as the goal is to reduce waste.
