Good with flaws

I have a full leather version, overall it's a good pair of shoes - here are the details: Pros: 1- Really deep and you can put your inserts/cups into inserts and heel cup, and the shoe is still wearable). 2- High quality material and leather, looks like it will hold up well and comfortable to wear. Cons: 1- Not exactly a walking shoe as Drew suggests. - very heavy (probably 3 to 4 times the weight of your regular running shoes at 4.4lbs a pair!). 2- Again not suitable for walking - if you are a…

Finally a shoe that fits and is comfortable from the start!

I love these shoes. Love their other shoes built on the same 401 platform. The fit is impressive and they have the right support. They're incredibly comfortable and built to last. I could go on and on about the life-changing discovery of shoes that fit and support, but I won't. If you try these shoes on and don't like them, try other Drew shoes. Surely they have something that you will like.

Pros
  • Heel stabilizers
Cons
  • Damaged

Tight Fit: Athletic

I usually wear Drew Tucson shoes size 13 6E and they fit and wear great. I tried on three other Drews in the same size and width with this pair of shoes, all of which were too small for me. One pair was even built on the same last (Walker II) and it was too tight in the instep. Drew must be having some issues as her shoe size and shoe size seem to vary throughout. This is typical of most brands.

Pros
  • Integrated Heel Pad
Cons
  • Quality

It has helped some but miracles don't happen

Husband is on his feet 10-12 hours a day, mostly on concrete. He's a big guy and he works hard so it doesn't help the situation. My legs hurt a lot and have been for years. We tried New Balance shoes, which worked a bit, but at the end of the day he still had very bad foot pain. We tried it and I would say it helped about 10%. No wonder, but considering how much his legs hurt, the 10% improvement is worth it. I think overall it's a good shoe for people with big feet (it's very wide) and also…

Good for sore feet

I first came across Drew's Surge shoes on the recommendation of an orthopedist. The deep toe box made room for my stiff (and painful) big toe and orthotics. The shoes are walkable and I've been wearing them for four years. My nutritional status: big toe stiffness, overpronation and arch sagging. Not the prettiest shoe in the world, but not so ugly that people would drop dead in the street either. ;)

  • Rubber outsole
