Dyson Hose Change Over Dc41 Review

Very interesting how this little hose works in a vacuum! The engineering that went into developing it to make it work is amazing!

Product works as intended, wish there were pictures or instructions. But I managed to collect, and the vacuum cleaner sucks perfectly again. Highly recommend reviving an old Dyson dc41 vacuum cleaner.

The product was delivered as shown on the picture in the offer. Easy to install if you have light mechanical skills. The vacuum works great, again very strong as my worn hose was unusable with a broken/missing seal. I am now a happy traveler

There is a seal on this hose, the seal on the original part is broken, resulting in a large air gap that reduces suction. The replacement wasn't easy to install, but when complete works great. The return of life to a ridiculously expensive vacuum.

My spot cleaner lost suction with no apparent problem. After investigation, it turned out that over time this small tube partially collapses and all suction power is lost. It's not the easiest part to replace, but it fixes the problem and the vacuum cleaner works great again.

BUYER WARNING! When I received these, the rubber seal was not seated properly. When I went to fix it, I found that this gasket is held in place by 3 small dots of superglue. In the original, the rubber was fused to the plastic, but this is literally half glued together as the glue didn't even hold up during shipping. I put it in because I couldn't go a week without a vacuum or I would have sent it back. Based on the physics of how this hose works, this cheap POS doesn't even last a year.

Update (10/12/21): I've been taking things apart and testing my whole life. Took me 1 hour to figure out how to get to the hose and replace it and then put everything back together. There are many complex moving parts, many very small TORX screws. My recommendation for an upgrade is that if you're not mechanically savvy, save yourself the hassle and go to a vacuum repair tech. The hose works perfectly, it is beautiful, transparent and flexible; should last another 5 years (highly recommended…
