    Excellent hammer for hammers

Excellent hammer. I only wish it had a rubber bottom as I used my other Eswing to push out the windows. Can't wait to see how it wears out.

    Husbands love this hammer!

My husband is a retired carpenter and his old hammer needed replacing. The old one was a 22 ounce hammer. The first time he used it, he really thanked me for this purchase. He said it was the best hammer he ever had!

    Pros
    • Best in his niche
    Cons
    • Low repairability

    Wrong hammer as advertised

I ordered this hammer twice hoping the first order was wrong. Both times I ordered a 19 oz smooth face hammer. Both times I received a 15 ounce milled hammer. Both hammers were very good hammers and the quality of the Estwing hammers is second to none, but the fact that they are advertised as a 19 ounce smooth faced hammer is false.

NOT WORTH good for Claw hammers

Good for light work maybe indoors, I bought this for use on foundation/concrete work and the hammer is only about 5 months old, both teeth bent in the claw within the first week rivets on the bottom have loosened about a quarter of an inch, now the leather grip is completely loose. Very VERY frustrated. I bought this for $50 fing when I could have bought port freight if I wanted to get screwed

Its worth it. Good price. See updates below.

beautiful! Very good! Everything about this hammer is positive. The side nail puller works great in those hard-to-reach places, the magnetic nail launcher gives more reach for hard-to-drive nails, and this hammer seems to have a nice "ring" when it hits an object. I wish they didn't varnish those leather handles. Lacquer is easier to scratch and stain. I think a light oil or wax finish would be more appropriate. Supplement: The rivet heads at the end of the handle have been worn out for 4…
