I like my landlines

Some of us still like wired landlines with copper wire, and I'm a big fan of this FC-1507. My hearing isn't getting any better, so I particularly like the high volume and red light that flashes when there's a call. The only thing I don't like is the lack of a built-in switch to turn off the ringer, and it would be useful if there were letters on the buttons. But if necessary, you can just disconnect the connection cable from the phone, and I solved the last problem with the help of letters…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • No automatic connection

Great for those with low vision or who are confused

Bought for my 99 year old mum who has poor eyesight. The best feature, in my opinion, is the automatic buttons at the top. She has memory loss, so she probably doesn't remember how to work with memory numbers that require pressing a button and then a number. The top 3 buttons are automatic. Instead of the red button that calls 911, I changed it to ring my phone to avoid accidentally calling 911. The other button calls the nursing home administrator etc. Very easy to use and set up.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Dissatisfied! best in landline

This is the second attempt with this phone. The first one didn't work at all! In addition, I could only program my number for my mother using the small memory buttons on the top of the phone, not the large ones. Mom had trouble seeing those little buttons, but we decided to give it a try. She lives out of town and after we left she can't call anymore. There was a dial tone but the call did not connect. I had to buy another phone, it was inconvenient to try this phone for the third time. I won't

Pros
  • price

Another update: As expected, the guarantee is almost worthless. When I send them the phone, they "try" to fix it. Shipping a $30 phone would cost me $15 to "maybe" get it repaired or replaced. Very disappointed. Update: phone no longer works. No beeping, nothing. Just dead. Of course it's day 31 now so the 30 day return window is closed. Contact the manufacturer for a warranty replacement. First Review: Bought for an elderly person with limited vision. She has no trouble seeing buttons or using

Useful for disabled and elderly or nursing home patients!

Pros - big buttons for blind and partially sighted people, simple design and user guide, simple old handset installation that many people need (parent is in a nursing home and CANNOT use cell phone no matter what we tried), can the volume can be increased although only 2 settings are allowed. I was able to use a wireless service from a cell phone company that allows you to connect to a regular old phone, no wiring, just a small receiver/transmitter box with a phone cord input. Cons - The phone…

That's great! suitable for telephones and accessories

I was looking for a reasonably priced, extremely easy to use phone for my 93 year old mother who has very limited vision, short term memory problems, problems with electronic devices and has limited hearing despite wearing hearing aids. I read all the reviews about this phone and others like it and decided this is the best choice for us. We (my mother and I) are very satisfied. She hears both the bell and the conversations, both on a loud volume. She can make calls with very large…

Pros
  • All right!
