Premium price in the Garmin ecosystem, not Garmin quality

I'm a longtime Garmin user and generally a big fan of the devices I've had over the years. I don't typically pioneer a new (new) category for a business, but since the underlying technology is fairly common at this scale, I find it a safe extension to get started right away. PROS: Setup and integration with Connect was great. Fit and finish are first class. AAA batteries are also a plus. CONS: Inaccuracies. Weight is actually the last thing I really care about (everything else is more…

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Something different

It's expensive. But not being able to remember weight over time and being able to look at the charts is incredibly handy. The display is very easy to read. It automatically connects to WiFi and makes your data available in your account and app. Garmin has an excellent privacy policy for your data. Some other manufacturers have terrible privacy policies (Weight Watchers, Omron). Withings also has a good privacy policy. If you use Garmin for fitness and training, this is for you. If you don't use

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

However, he only pulled weight, although a body fat measurement was also available. When Garmin released their version of the Index 1 I received it but ran into issues. First, the scale didn't stay on the tile bathroom floor, although Aria and the other scales didn't have a problem with that…

I wanted to like it but it doesn't work

I wanted to love this scale but unfortunately it doesn't work the way it should. The scale will not connect to certain Wi-Fi networks and will not constantly sync your data with your Garmin Connect account. For this reason I am returning this scale. More information below: I am in the Garmin ecosystem. I have a Forerunner watch, Edge bike computer, cadence sensors, speed sensors and the Garmin Connect app. I like the quality of Garmin products. I like how they are designed for their users (for…

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
