Perfect for my needs

In my bedroom, all sockets on the ground floor are controlled by a switch, which can be very inconvenient. Most of these socket extenders plug in at the bottom with a plastic stabilizer at the top, meaning the entire set is controlled by one light switch and cannot be used at night when the lights are off. Luckily, I found this one that does the opposite, allowing me to charge more than one thing a night.

Pros
  • Cables, adapters and multiple sockets
Cons
  • Pretty much everything is fine

Exactly what I wanted and needed. . .

I bought this after replacing my old bathroom clock radio with a new radio/CD stereo and felt the need to use a surge protector. I had a 6 faucet outlet because my bathroom only had 2 outlets which wasn't enough as I also use hot rollers and curling irons. I also didn't want any lighting (green and/or red) and it leaves a clean look in my bathroom. Exactly what I wanted and needed.

Pros
  • Power strips
Cons
  • Almost never

Falls out of the socket

I bought two of these, forgot the first one didn't work. At the moment I have two light plugs in my sockets, they just fall out far enough to break the connection. This type of multi-plug product has historically always had a support rod that goes into the wall outlet. I have to wonder if it really protects against surges? I won't use it as it may not be safe. Thanks again China for the crappy products.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Something Else

Drip from the outlet

I bought two of these and forgot the first one didn't work. At the moment I have two light plugs in my sockets, they just fall out far enough to break the connection. These types of multi-plug products have historically always had a support rod that led into the wall outlet. I have to wonder if it really protects against surges? Pros
  • Safety - Auto-off technology turns off power to devices when surge protection has expired.
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Great Basic Multi Outlet Surge Protector

I used a couple of 3 outlet surge protectors in my house. They were fine except the two LEDs on them were too bright for my bedroom. I was fed up with light pollution and wanted to darken my room, so I looked for non-LED surge protectors. Little did I know that the vast majority of such devices have one or more LEDs. Then I found this one! I don't need 6 outlets, but it's nice to have some flexibility as I often have power adapters plugged in and they often kill more than one outlet they're…

Pros
  • Safe - UL Listed with a maximum electrical rating of 120VAC/15A/1800W and a $50,000 Connected Equipment Policy.
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good product!

May be a little thinner but doesn't protrude further than the cord. It is also nice that there is nothing on the floor, which makes cleaning easier. Haven't used it for travel yet, but that would be great. I wanted surge protection for my devices at home. I bought 4 but need to order more. Until it wears out a little, it's difficult to turn it off - you need both hands, one to hold the surge protector and the other to turn it off. If you have a heavy object (an electric shaver), the weight may…

Pros
  • Expand Your Outlets - Turn 2 3-pin grounded outlets into 6 with a compact design that offers more versatile power options for your favorite electronics.
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging
