    not as good as hoped

I read that Gutermann quilting thread is the best so I bought this thread. I am a hand quilter and found this thread difficult to manipulate when knotting. Also, I had a small problem with thread obfuscation. I wouldn't order it again.

    Disappointed: Sewing

When I ordered this yarn the description said it was dark blue. This thread arrived and was anything but dark blue. Instead it was royal blue and could not be used for the project I ordered it for. I had to wait another 2 weeks before I could go into town to buy real navy yarn to complete my project.

    Excellent quality for hand sewing.

I have finished two quilts for my grandchildren and am now working on a quilt for my daughter. Used this theme on all. It's hard to find this thread color so I was very happy when I found this thread. Definitely stronger than the 50 weight I use in my car and the quality is good. Delivery is very prompt.

The only thread I'll ever sew with.

This is the best yarn I have ever seen for hand quilting. Smooth, durable and beautiful to look at. I hand quilted a 90x80 quilt with navy Gutermann thread and never had any problems with knots, tangles, fraying etc. I used a #11 cleaning needle in the quilting, I had no trouble threading the needle. I highly recommend this thread. You will not regret it. 😀

    Beautiful color, great yarn!

Buying a specific color online is risky, but I had a fabric I couldn't match and a computer was the only thing I had at the time to try to find a fabric to match . It turned out that this color does NOT match the fabric, but it is such a beautiful color, I will use it for embroidery, if not more. I knew when I bought it that it might not match the fabric and I didn't care because I liked the color anyway.
