Do people make and sell fake socks?

NO STAR Is that fake Hanes? Shows extreme wear after one wear and wash. This is clearly not the quality of Hanes. Terribly thin, cropped version of the over-the-knee boots we've been buying for years. I feel cheated. NO STARS

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Ok

Thin material suitable for men

I have been wearing Hanes socks for many years. Tried these out as reinforced heel/toe overcalf socks are no longer available. These socks are nowhere near as thick as any of my previous socks. They won't last long and I wear 2 pairs to be comfortable in the boots.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Damaged

Not the socks advertised in the picture

The socks I received were not the socks advertised in the picture. They don't have a gray reinforced bottom - that's the only reason I chose them. These are cheaper socks that should be cheaper - even if they're real Hanes.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

upset. for socks

So disappointed with these socks. I ordered Hanes socks from Revain a few years ago and they were exactly what my husband expected. I thought they were the same. They are so thin, cheap and not long enough. They used to be 26 inches long and now they are 21 inches long. I will never order them again.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Working speed

Hanes has changed the way they are made.

My husband has worn this brand for many years. Hanes has changed the way they are made. They are thinner, don't hold their shape and fall off. We will not buy these again. It's sad because I've been buying this brand of socks for over 14 years and they've always been really good socks.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • So far so good

Disappointing quality

My husband has worn these socks for over 20 years. This last order disappointed him a little, however. The thickness and cushioning of the material has definitely been reduced. The quality of Hanes products is the main reason he has been wearing these socks for so many years. He said he might want to switch brands in the future.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Very expensive

Calf socks tube

I ordered the gray lace socks shown above. Hoe. and the only one. They are made of cotton. They sent a sock tube that doesn't match my order. I tried to get materials to return but your end must have been sleeping and I never got it. The tube sock shrinks when washed in hot water, and fluffy clumps form after about six socks. In addition, pipe socks have no heel.

  • practical article

Repeat shopper of Hanes socks

I can't find white socks for my husband anymore without a prescription so I have to buy them from Revain. Great, it was a reliable repeat order. This time I noticed from the picture that the gray color goes all over the sole of the sock. I thought, "This is great! I can tell the new ones from the old ones so they match up properly after washing." Not so. Judging by the picture these new socks only have a gray sock as usual. It was just a personal expectation, the socks are in Okay but it would…

Pros
  • Socks and Hosiery
Cons
  • Good but not great

Cheap Socks!: Men's

I would give this 0 stars if I could! I've been buying Hanes Over the Calf socks for my husband for many years and have always bought them from Walmart. I believe they were made in the USA! Never had any problems before! I bought these "probably" identical socks from Revain and they are NOT the same! I noticed that as soon as I opened the package! I even compared the new socks to his last 5 years! The socks I bought from Revain are much cheaper and not as durable as his old socks! No doubt they

Pros
  • Men's
Cons
  • Already OK

Now it's polyester socks, not cotton!

Haynes has redesigned these tube socks. I've been buying Hanes tube socks for years. They've always been almost 100% cotton, and now these socks are made from 97% polyester and 3% cotton. They have a very different feel (I hate nylon/polyester/synthetics anyway) and they don't fit or hold as well as the cotton ones. I will admit they changed the label to show the differences but after so many years of buying the same type there was no major announcement that they would be changing the socks…

  • clothing, shoes and jewelry
