The photo shows that this white thermal blanket is more transparent than my old, thicker thermal blanket. My fingers are visible through the white thermal blanket. The Head2Toe thermal blanket feels rougher than my old thermal blanket. I don't know if the white thermal blanket will soften over time. I am amazed at the quality of this 100% cotton thermal blanket. The duvet is made of cotton, so it will soften with use and washing. The size is very large for a 90" long hospital blanket. Although it is an open weave it feels very strong. It is light and airy and the openwork weave makes it the perfect summer blanket or bedspread.
