Problem with these lights

They were easy to install. The hardest part was getting the connections to work between the device and the bulbs so the light stays on. When they work they are very bright, but I have to periodically open them and reconfigure them for contacts.

Lamps didn't work fully inserted.

Installed the kit on a 2001 Toyota Tacoma and installed it quite easily. I only have a problem with LED bulbs. No matter what I did with the wires, I couldn't get the bulbs to light up when I plugged them all the way into the socket. If I left them undressed they worked fine. I just wish the connection was better to allow the bulbs to be fully inserted.

Look great and work!

I installed them on a '98 Tacoma and they are very bright, clean and look great! (2) screw each light on and unscrew the light, remove the old light, install a new one (remember, if you put in a new led bulb and it doesn't work, flip the bulb into the other one direction if it does not work) does not work, check the wiring on the LED lamp and wiggle there). All in all it's a very simple and cheap but modern upgrade for my everyday life.

Excellent lanterns for plates. Much brighter than the original, super easy to install, looks amazing.

These lights are great! I accidentally broke the bearing and glued it on for a temporary fix. I was looking for LED brake lights and saw them in the recommendations. They come with their own bright 6000k white LEDs for each side. They look 99% OEM and rubber grommets are included. Costs $23 compared to a single OEM case.

Good replacement for rear license plate lamp housing OEM Tacoma 00-04

They are missing the white rubber grommet that OEM housings are supposed to provide a watertight seal between the semi-circular clear plastic and the black housing. This comes with rubber bottom pads, but you'll need to reuse (2) your OEM bolts for each case. The replacement basically consists of loosening (2) screws and removing the top case. Pull out the lower case with the black rubber grommet, then rotate the gray lamp case a quarter turn and pull out. Install the lower grommet, then…
