Very reliable and easy

I bought it as a replacement for the WLAN socket on our street lighting. The WiFi outlet was good for programming but struggled to maintain a good signal. (I've spent a lot of time perfecting my WiFi coverage over the years, and I know a single hotspot is a bit small.) This device works great, and I'm able to use my desired program: turn on the lights at sunset. At midnight the lights go out. The light comes on at 4am. The light goes out at dawn. And since there is no network connection, it…

Worked 6 months, never worked properly.

When I saw the one called "Honeywell" I thought it was well done, like my thermostat. Well it's actually not even a Honeywell and it looks solid and well built, whoever built this thing just didn't finish the job properly. It never worked properly. It has buttons to turn on the sunset and turn off the sunrise, I set everything up perfectly and it was always a bit off. Set the recommended latitude zone and all that. Well sunset sunrise stopped working about 2 months ago. I do not know why…

Best timer I've had

I've used several outdoor timers and paid over $20+, but none of them met my needs and some stopped working after a while. I really like how easy this timer is to set up and it has worked flawlessly so far. It should be noted that if you set the timer to the time you normally turn on your item, it won't start until the next day. For example, I set a timer at 4:00 p.m. to start the fountain from 8:30 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. When I plugged it in (at 4pm) nothing happened. I thought I had an error but…

Lasted 69 days with an INDOOR set and forgot

I bought this item to control when our reptile's lights turn on in the morning and turn off at night. Thus, it is behind the fence, and after installation, no one bothered it. This week it turns on in the morning and then randomly turns off during the day, although it's set to turn on at 8am and off at 8pm. I took a close look today and found that although they look solid the cables from the body to the plug on the unit must be bad. When I moved the case a little, the lightbulbs lit up, I tried

Incomplete

First of all, the power cord is short. The idea is that a small cord is plugged into an outlet and the device is attached to the wall with a single screw. This requires a lot of bending of the cable, which is difficult as the wire is very strong (which is a good thing in itself). I haven't fixed it to the wall yet because the tension on the screw will be very high and there is no suitable place next to my socket to mount it (one side is plaster, the other is covered with a steel plate) ; A few…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Not satisfied with everything

We chose this item because competing products had reviews with photos of melted timers at the exit (obvious fire hazard). We would draw at most 1 or 2 amps with this outlet timer, but didn't want to risk it. The Honeywell 40957 Socket Timer is CSA listed (similar to UL listing but CSA was introduced in Canada). And it's made in China by Jasco Products Company LLC (an American company based in Oklahoma, founded in 1975). We were able to set the time before plugging it in, so there must be a…

I was about to say a lot of good things about this timer until I realized it inexplicably had an important one Missing feature that all other digital timers of this type have, namely manual on-off, is usually a button, pressing which turns on the power at the scheduled time or turns off the power at the scheduled time. . Normal programming then continues at the next scheduled on-off event. Every digital timer I've owned over the last few decades has this feature, to the point where I would…
