🧦 Icebreaker Black Men's Medium Socks Review

These socks look very chic - jet black and smooth. Goes well with most shoes. The compression is just right to leave legs feeling toasted and hugged. However, I wouldn't wear them in warm weather. I wish they were a little longer - I'm a size 9.5 and wear medium socks.

I buy these for breathability in my shoes. they are expensive but pretty good. For some reason my foot slips everywhere with these socks in my boots and not with my other trendy black merino wool socks.

What's wrong with the seller?! I pay for 82% merino wool socks and get 61% wool! This is the cheapest product and I get tired of ordering again and again hoping that one of the orders will be right. Please fix this problem!

I like the Icebreaker brand but these socks wear really well. I have only worn them 3 times and washed them in cold water on gentle cycle and never tumble dried. I wear a lot of merino wool so I know how to care for them, but they look like they need to be shorn. Disappointing.

I have purchased several pairs of Icebreaker Lifestyle Ultra Lite Crew Socks and Lifestyle Lite Crew Socks. In comparison, I prefer the cushioning and feel of the slightly heavier Lifestyle Lite socks for everyday use, even in summer. I expect Lifestyle Lite socks will hold up better in the long run.

These are light, comfortable and good looking socks which have been my go-to travel socks since I bought them in October. But that such expensive socks didn't survive a full three months without holes is very disappointing. UPDATE: They appear to have a lifetime warranty and Icebreaker is sending me a new pair. Considering how much I liked the first pair before they failed, I'm upgrading my original rating.

Overall I am very happy with these socks. I can't judge how long they last, but I'm still very satisfied. I was skeptical about the wool socks hype, but so far they have stood the test of time. They seemed a bit small to me; I bought the big ones and am wearing a size 10.5 shoes but they fit tighter than I'm used to. It's not a big deal though and I'm getting used to the tighter fit. These are high quality merino wool socks. They stay under the calf for as long as wool socks, which means I put them on a few times a day to keep them looking neat. This color (grey, red, anthracite) looks great with trousers with a touch of red or purple, or with gray trousers and a shirt of these colors.
