Low noise and no distortion over time.

I have used them in the past and have been very happy with them. This time too. They are quiet but do not distort the sound due to the solid metal frame.

Good product!

Great linear bearing for my 3D printer, just wish it was cheap enough to replace all my linear bearings. The movement is smooth and quiet. Its outside diameter is about 1mm larger than a standard steel linear ball bearing.

Pros
  • Linear Bearing
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Quiet but cumbersome and expensive.

I used these to replace the LM8UU bearings on the Y axis of my Prusa i3 mk2. They made the movement quieter, but they're sloppy compared to the LM8UU bearings. That means there is play between the 8mm shaft and the bearings. This allows you to move along the Y axis while moving with high acceleration or deceleration. This leads to sloppy prints. Needless to say, the noisy (but stiff) LM8UU bearings are back in the printer and those IGUS bearings sit unused in the drawer. For those pondering…

Pros
  • Linear Ball Bearing
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
