Quality control sucks

Sorry one of the fingers was stitched up which was pretty easy to fix with pliers but it didn't stop there. The gloves are very thin and too small for my hands, although admittedly I ordered the larger ones (because there wasn't much choice) rather than my usual XL size. I think my niece can use these although her hands are much smaller and she has much better circulation than me so thinness doesn't matter to her.

Say well done. Best in Gloves and Mittens

I just received them so I can't comment on how well they are holding up. I think my arm circumference was 9 inches. I think they will initially feel tight for someone with really big hands. My hands are probably average for a grown man I think. They could have fit me a little smaller and everything would be fine. Overall I'm satisfied. If they're made in America, all the better. (I paid for them myself, FTR).

The gloves are small. good for women

Gloves run small - that's the first review I've written, but when the Illinois Glove Company read my review, they were right. The Illinois Glove Company sent me an apology and then sent me a new pair of gloves that were snug but fit a lot better. The gloves seem to be of good quality and very warm. I only wish I had them when our temp dropped into the single digits. Any company that gets it right always deserves a second chance, and the Illinois Glove Company deserves my new 4-star rating…

Poor design best for women

I have bought these mittens/gloves in the past. I had high hopes that they would be made a little better, but they aren't. The stitching ran away from the Tinsulate lining, leaving a thumb-sized hole in front of the actual thumb hole. They are also smaller than usual. This time size XL is tight. They are not for people with big hands. At first glance, the seam looks better where the upper fingertip pocket is sewn on. The Velcro that holds the flap open also looks machine-sewn this time. With…

Women's sizing issues

Either the suggested size list is wrong or I received the wrong size. The size is not specified on the packaging or the product, so it's hard to tell if they sent me the right size or not. Mine were 3.75 inches wide. I went for the large size despite the recommendation to back down. (3.5 inch for medium size and 4 inch for large size). flow and make my hands feel colder rather than warmer. Also, the seams and such seem neat and if they fit a little better I'd be very happy with that.

Small wrist cover

Update: The weather was getting cold and we had 26 degrees Fahrenheit wind. I was surprised at how well the gloves keep my hands warm. Sure, my fingertips were cold, but they were fine with a mitten pulled over them. Was absent about 4 hours and did very little physical activity. Only in the last 30-40 minutes did my hands start to freeze. Very impressive. However, I was really disappointed with the length of the wrist cuff. If the cuff was longer I might have given them 5 stars. But in the…

  • Some issues

I liked the look of the gloves because they (almost) match another 3M Thinsulate, 40 Grams, a almond/vanilla gloves (whatever white with brown leather palms). A closer look reveals numerous flaws that deserve attention.1. These gloves do not have a 3M Thinsulate badge with weight and model number. However, the label is clearly visible on the black gloves listed here.2. The stitching isn't precise, causing me to (at one point) put my fingers through my fingers multiple times before they fit.3…

Works for those conforming to the general form or as a last resort.

As much as I would love to keep and use these gloves because they are exactly what I need, I am returning them. I ordered a women's cut according to the attached size chart and they were too big. I will also note that their sizing chart is misleading as they are marked with their logo suggesting they come in smaller and larger sizes. I even contacted the company and found out that this is just a general glove sizing chart and not theirs as they only offer three sizes. This is also on their…
