Various parts left over from DVD/CD production.

The parts I received are similar to the picture but they appear to be left over from assembling DVD/CD players and cannot be used to mold gears without great effort. Good that the product is not expensive. The long rails in the illustration are from the DVD tray opening and closing mechanism. Gears do not have identical tooth and sprocket alignments. Printers do not use durable parts that can support more powerful stepper motors.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Requires socket

They are amazing!

Used for some of the motors I installed on the microscope stand. The only thing is that for the central part of the stylus there is an ideal circle and not a stylus with a notch. As it's weird in slip theory you need precise almost solid pins for the gears to connect and hopefully they don't just slip from spur to spur I've seen this before to be honest where that The metal of the bolt is so tight that it's difficult to pull it out. I think this is a typical size, I glued plastic engine covers…

If you're looking to assemble a small gear train for a project, these gears seem like a great place to start! They all have the same tooth pitch, so they all work together in combination. I haven't applied any of these to the project yet, but I've broken them down into types (not counted individually yet): a couple of worm gears. several gears of the engine. several guide wheels with ring gear. .Several drive pulleys.Several idler pulleys.Several toothed pulleys. Two racks.Several rubber bands…
