No more sewage gasses

Although it took me two tries to find the right size plug (the first one was too big for 5 inches), this plug fits perfectly. Previously, unbeknownst to us, our laundry room had a metal cover over the opening of an abandoned sewer line, but there was no plug. We could smell sewer gases so this plug solved that problem.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High Price

STOP THE WATER!

I had problems with the city sewer system, sometimes got into the basement. Tried different plugs and this was the only one that stopped everything completely. The only thing I would change is to use higher quality wing nuts. One of mine had a "wing" broken when I first installed it.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

4 " Heavy Duty Pipe Plug, Internal Connection with Metal Components

I found a 4" pipe in the wall that was loose with a rubber stopper. Unfortunately the tube was pressed against the wall and the cap didn't fit properly at the back where there was no space between the tube and the wall. I bought it so it could clog the pipe without slipping over the pipe but so it slides inwards. The connector is well made and I was able to hand tighten the tube by tightening the wing nut. It's a good design and very durable. The rubber expands when the wing nut is tightened…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No Instructions
