I hate those lockable fuel filler flaps

This is the third motorhome that I have replaced the keyed fuel filler flaps (weak plastic) with twist locks. No more fumbling with keys at the gas station in the rain or worse. Measure twice to get the right length.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Offset not too far off

Offset strips not too far off my originals. The first ride had to close again at each stop. I bent it more myself to make it work. If you need it for the offset, look for another.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Upgradable

Decent lock for the money.

Easy to install and well suited for RV storage doors. After a little over a year they started to sharpen and some of the latches needed greasing. The trailer has never been towed on salty roads and has been well maintained so I'm a bit disappointed that they caused potholes. Overall I agree with them and would buy again.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Repair

Why didn't I install it years ago?

I've been playing with keys to open compartments in our RV for years. Why? Who wants to steal a dirty carpet, bent hot dog forks, a crappy trash can, and an old knotted rope? Now with one of these instead of locks, it's SO EASY! Just twist with your fingers and they open easily. And each installation took only 2 minutes. They fit perfectly, look great and feel well made. I'm an even happier tourist!

  • Elegant design

A simple upgrade to ensure closet doors stay closed in an RV.

When I bought my caravan they were on some but not all cupboard doors. The previous owner used a piece of string to keep 2 doors closed when traveling so I bought these hoping they would work as well as the others, which they did. Installation is easy and they are very convenient for learning. A NOTICE. They are designed for 1-3/8 inch. Revain sells other sizes (e.g. 1-1/8") so make sure you choose the right size for the panel thickness.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Great Architectural Mailbox Key Lock Alternative - Oasis

This is what you need (5/8" with straight cam) if you are looking to replace the Oasis Architectural Mailbox Mailbox Lock. needed a lockable mailbox, and carrying a key all the time was a hassle, so this was a (nearly perfect) solution. Note that the cams for this handle are longer than the post box cams. It will still work but only if you remove the part with a slot on the inside of the mailbox that fits over the cylinder like a washer and is easy to remove when you take the lock out yourself.

Pros
  • This Is Awesome
Cons
  • Some Trouble

The price has increased by 44% in less than a month. What do you think.

I just installed 10 of these and they work great. The position stopper is not as strong as the ones it replaces. I expect them to work fine (i.e. stay closed). Some of my originals are in poor condition. I was going to replace them all at once, but I miscalculated and have to order two more pieces. Imagine my surprise when I came back less than a month ago and the price was 44% more than what I paid. What a gap! I have no idea if this is Revain's "market research" based on my purchase or if the

No more drawings flying down the street!

Installed in two large long drawers under the dining area in my RV. It took a little thought to get the placement right, but no rocket science. Exactly what I was looking for, the drawer no longer slides down the street. TIP: Use a 5/8" Forsner bit and carefully drill overlapping holes to create an oval shape to prevent the lock body from rotating. a piece of scrap will help you not to ruin the finished piece.) I drew a line down the center line of the hole to catch the starting point of the…

Works as expected.

I was a little wondering if this would fit and what length I should get. The 1 3/8 I finally chose goes through the 1/2" plywood door and then hooks onto the edge of the 3/4" plywood cabinet. I tape foam along the door so it doesn't rattle like it does in a van. With a straight piece and a slight offset that can go either way, quite a bit of adjustment can actually happen. Be careful when removing the latch from the area where it snaps and make sure it has enough room to turn over and sit in…
