I can't compare this to anything as I've only bought/installed one so far. Well built, solid. Installs easily enough, but I wish the screw holes were vertical instead of horizontal so I can get more than one screw in the stud.

Pros: Good build and solidity. Cons: Template for installation is not provided. Does that sound strange for such an expensive product? Cons: The wall plate rod caps rotate no matter how hard I drilled through the item. A rubber seal to the wall would have been nice.

This is a great and very stylish looking product. The problem is that the included mounting hardware is not enough to mount it for the extra weight. I recommend, as do others, if you are mounting this invest in some larger mounting screws and inserts.

This stool looks great, swivels easily (but stays in this 'up' position), has a strong hinge and is made of heavy material. mandatory materials. Wife is glad I installed it. Just a note, for this thing to actually work you'll need to turn at least one of the three screws in the wall studs behind the tiles - and ideally if you're (re)assembling a shower enclosure from scratch you probably should be doing this, prepping the whole area with you a wider mounting plate for added strength.

Good design and time will tell if the chrome will hold up or not. Fixing screws do not fit. If the footrest breaks during use, serious injury may result.
