Great lens. Especially for the price.

What I like best about this lens is its size and weight. There are many wide-angle lenses. Although many come close to the focal length of this lens, it can be very large and heavy, and many times more expensive. The Laowa 17mm f1.8 is a small and compact lens. However, it gives you a sharp and clear image. And because of its size, you can easily mount the camera on a gimbal and get very consistent results. I also have a Sigma 18-35 f1.8 for the EF mount. I use it with a Metabones adapter on my

Very happy with this lens

I was concerned this lens wouldn't be wide enough for a vlogging lens but it seems to fit, the only other lens I have is a Lumix 25mm (50mm equivalent). I like this lens, but 50mm is too narrow a focal length for a lot of things, so I decided to try this 17mm lens (34mm equivalent). The build quality makes my Panasonic lens look cheap, it's all metal and the lens hood can be mounted backwards on the lens, while I've only made a small test frame I can't tell 100% yet, need more Tests to be done…

Great optics and long focal length for everyday use

Much better optics than most other inexpensive manual focus lenses (sharper, good contrast, no noticeable distortion, works well in backlit conditions). Nice. all metal and glass but not too heavy. Pleasant click feeling on the aperture ring. Focuses *very* close. And it's ready for Micro Four Thirds. This is my preferred focal length (35mm full frame equivalent) and if you need this focal length in a manual focus metal lens, this is the best option. The only thing that confuses me is that the…

This is a great lens, not just a great lens for the price.

I already have an E-M1 II with original ZUIKO lens from 7mm to 100mm. This is my main system. I need a light and small system that I can take with me everywhere. I bought an E-M5 II demo camera a few weeks ago and wanted a 35mm equivalent focal length lens that would give decent optical performance. I set a budget of $250. I first looked at a used Panasonic Leica 15mm f/1.7 and 20mm. 15mm is over my budget, 20mm is not that wide. I was also cautious about the Olympus 17mm f/1.8, as I've heard…
