Why not make it 1/8 inch bigger so the buckle doesn't look abnormally large. It does not make sense. The leather material is ok. No premium or anything like that. Would have liked more if the strap was wider. Otherwise the design/idea is great. Also, the lock shouldn't be tight as the end always hangs down (instead of keeping the direction of the strap) and is cut correctly so I don't know if it's a design or what

I use this belt as a dress belt simply because it is smaller in width and weight than a 1 3/8" wide belt. slightly closer to the open end of the belt. This would allow for greater flexibility of use and it would also allow more strap to be cut reducing the amount of excess strap left after closure Overall this is the very best belt of its kind and I have purchased many of these belts and their associated ratchet buckles .

Excellent product. The 14 year old kept stealing mine so I bought her these. I had two before. TIP: Cut 1-2 inches longer than fits you. As the teeth wear against the skin, trimming the head end 1/4 inch about every 6 months will extend its life and give you much better performance.

Because this product was sized by me, it will fit correctly. This is my second belt now. The first one lasted a few years so I'm mostly happy with the quality. It didn't wear out when I fully understood it, but it had the same durability as any other belt I've purchased.
