The best penetrating oil for the money

The best penetrating oil for the money. Kroil will do slightly better and both are better than PB Blaster or WD-40. However, the best and cheapest option is a 50/50 mix of automatic transmission fluid and acetone. This is convenient because of the price and the aerosol can.

Pros
  • Super price
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Switch to cans from now on

With about 4 different incomplete cans of Penetrating Oil Spray on the shelf -- I will be using this product from now on. - Tried 3 different types on the same vehicle/area and this one definitely worked faster and solved some issues that others couldn't (they might work if they stay longer). Others are good and have been the best for years, but this one worked noticeably faster.

  • Certified

It didn't work for me but maybe I have more than just rust

I have a washer hose that is stuck in the hot water faucet. Possibly rust/carbide/copper tap. I injected this last week. I tapped daily, tried daily, to no avail. So at the moment it doesn't work. It can be great with iron, rust and bolts, but for my hose/faucet/hard water needs it didn't seem to matter. I would be ahead of the money if I had just bought and replaced a faucet.

  • Nice to use

Strong penetration

I tested this product in the engine room of a WWII battleship against 70 years of rust and dirt. I was amazed at the performance, especially when compared to a product like the WD40. It worked its way through caked paint, rust, and even rubber gaskets to loosen threads. No hammers, heat, or striking tools were required. (Check out the picture to see what you can do with it.) This product was particularly useful for brass clasps as they are much more prone to chipping. I never thought I'd say…

Really penetrates the rust and thaws the seams.

I've been using the Liquid Key for over 35 years. It really works. Penetrates rusted joints, frozen bolts, etc. PATIENCE IS REQUIRED. It takes time to get into a frozen joint. Wait an hour to a day. Sometimes tapping the joint seems to help. (Or maybe it just soothes irritation :-) Place a rag/paper towel under the joint to catch any extra drips. If it works, it's a miracle. Unscrews easily. It's important to recognize when it hasn't worked, too tight to penetrate. Don't break anything with too

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • There are downsides

I've been trying to remove the old oxygen sensor from my 2004 Toyota Corolla for about a couple of weeks. My wife kept telling me to just take the car to a mechanic. I refused to pay $200 for such a simple repair. I bought a special tool to remove the oxygen sensor and still no bones. Despite my best efforts, that stupid oxygen sensor hasn't come off! I had some WD-40 all over the house which did almost nothing. I bought a Revain Liquid Key. I sprayed it in there and after 10 minutes I tried…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Nothing here

Worked when there was nothing else.

Used to remove a VERY stuck VERY old sewer pipe plug. Before deployment, three very strong men and women, a large number of wrenches and a few tears of frustration couldn't get the damn thing to work. I've never had retaliation like that stupid pipe plug. With a little help from the cheat bar, she even destroyed the sink key. But then my local plumbing company recommended penetrating the oil (and hitting it really hard with a hammer). A command from Revane, a few prayers, and a personal…

That's the real deal.

I like Liquid Wrench products even though they are hard to find in stores. Looking for a penetrating lube, I found a YouTube review of several using a torque wrench to measure how well each rusty bolt was loosened. This one came out on top and it wasn't the most expensive so I went ahead and bought it. So far I've only used it on the rusted end of a hose but it has worked flawlessly so I'm selling for future projects. I think the only thing I can complain about is that I always lose my straw in

  • Free for educational purposes
