Cool little asshole

I had a cross-threaded O2 sensor, so when I finally pulled the sensor out where the threads used to be was a mangled mess. I struggled with the tool for a while because it couldn't cut the threads to rethread the cat tube, so out of frustration I tapped it a few times with a hammer to get it in. I decided I had nothing to lose. if I had destroyed the tool at that moment. I don't recommend this as the tool was never designed for this type of use, but it worked great and the tool is still inโ€ฆ

Saved me from expensive repairs.

I have a Kubota tractor that has wheel bolts on the front tires with the same thread as the spark plugs. While using the tractor the wheel bolts came loose and eventually only one of the four wheel bolts on the front wheel was left and that wheel bolt was damaged. I managed to get the old wheel bolt out, but I couldn't get the new wheel bolt into its threaded hole. I bought a Lisle 20200 coined thread and screwed it all the way into the hole. The replacement wheel bolt then easily entered theโ€ฆ

Best spent $7!

Bought this cutter to thread some of my engines. Well, a few days after receiving it, I replaced the rack and pinion overnight and came across a tie rod adjuster nut that had damaged threads. I have a good selection of taps and dies for industrial use but not this size. While I thought I wouldn't be able to finish the work that night, I remembered that I had just received this little gem. The thread stayed the same and after threading it through the nut everything was back to normal; The nutโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Poor instructions

saved the day! fits tools and equipment

I was replacing an O2 sensor on a BMW 3.0 and found the threading was a nuisance and when I eventually removed the sensor I might not have been able to get a new one back. I found this one on Amazon and indeed 18 x 1.5 was the right match. I was heavily armed with the meter and the filaments were in bad shape. All of the filaments from the sensor were gone and most of the material was in the exhaust manifold filaments. I used a deep hitter head and a striker bar. The O-ring proved very worthyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use
