Main compartment: 8"(L) x 3"(W) x 11"(H). Shoulder: 1.5" strap (Minimum adjusted length is Approx 29" and maximum is 52") with 1.5" non-slip shoulder pad. Pockets: Eighteen (18) individual pockets. 1000-Denier water and abrasion resistant light-weight ballistic nylon fabric. Teflon fabric protector for grime resistance and easy maintenance.

Holds everything except hot and cold running water

Years ago I ran out of pockets and started carrying a shoulder bag and this is perfect for an old scout like me who likes to be ready and organized. Everything I want to carry with me at all times has a place that's the perfect size and shape. Here is a list to look through: wallet, checkbook, house keys, car keys, my cash from the register, a small address book (backup for my smartphone), smartphone, notepad, pen. , mechanical pencil, nail file, small flashlight, folding comb with mirror…

Too complicated but useful with some modifications

I think the Maxpedition guys may have had too much coffee picking up this bag. As others have pointed out, there are plenty of pockets for things, but many of them are too small! Here are the mods I made to turn it into a rugged outdoor gear/bag or maybe a shooting bag. Lose the internal separator, or at least remove it somewhere. Tries to do too much given its size and therefore does nothing well.

I love Maxpedition products and own a few including Neatfreak, Mongo and Organizer bags. I thought Neatfreak was perfect for my EDC needs, but after using it for a few weeks I gave it to my wife who might have better use of it.
