New strong holders

Coffee filters are now shorter and fit better. Holders have stronger teeth and will not break over time. We love that we can customize the coffees and use any coffee we want.

Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

I love filters: disposable filters

I love filters but I would never pay that price. They are now available at my two local grocers for less than $5 for a box of 60 (Kroger and Great Scot/Community Market Storess).

That's a shame, because otherwise Melitta is inventive and skilful.

At first I was struck by the advantages of the Melitta system over the native My-Kcup Cuisinart/Keurig basket system for home ground beans. It's easier to clean. Over time, I found that the Melitta system was overflowing and causing clogging and cleaning issues at the Keurig brewery itself. I find that the Melitta paper filter is not porous enough to let liquid through quickly enough. The paper is about as thick as the large basket filters of old drip brewers. That's a pity, because otherwise…

Cons
  • Ugly packaging
