Peace of Mind and Eliminates Pump Savings $$$

2004 Silverado z71. Works great, easy installation. Installation requires wide-nose pliers, a flathead screwdriver, and #10 torque. I don't know much about mechanics but I did it myself to save money. This adapter has MEAT protrusions compared to the OEM's sharp edges. Must have been a junkyard T-Case with only 90,000 miles and it also started rubbing with the pump. Take it for peace of mind, you won't regret it. In the first photo there is a hole in Tcase.

The transfer box is a lifesaver!

After restoring it and having the same problem a year later, I went to YouTube for a real solution and stumbled upon it. For me it was in the #3 transfer case and I think it will be the last. Many places say a rebuilt car will take it, or they use a thicker BS body. They only say it to put your mind at ease because it's supposed to last 150,000. Would be nice but after 17k another leak case if they added that I'd still be in case 1. Glad I have it now!

It seems to be the answer to a chronic problem!

Once the t-shirt was removed and disassembled, it was easy to put on. It only comes to that, which adds to the pain and suffering. Definitely designed to work and I'm not sure why GM doesn't use this method instead of dull metal clips that break over time. Highly recommended (and I had to order a new T-hull case as my case had a hole in it due to a GM design error). If you don't have a hole, hey, you can get by with just this product for a while.

This "Then " Correction in Gears and Gears

It's safe to assume if you're looking for this product to prevent or damage the back of your hand -Gears, NP261/NP263 , this is the best on the market, VERY HIGH QUALITY, PERFECT FIT, PROBLEM SOLVED!. GM MUST FILE A CLASS ACTION AGAINST A DESIGN DEFECT IN THE PUMP/HOUSING. AT LEAST SOMEONE WITH VISION MADE THIS REPAIR SO IT CAN NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. IF I JUST KNEW THIS BEFORE it was too late, IT WILL BE WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Very good item, best in the parts section

I have a 2003 Silverado 1500HD 4x4 that I have owned since the beginning. It didn't show any pump leaks but I wanted to get this update before that happens. After watching the process on YouTube I purchased this kit and took it to my mechanic. He said everything came at once with everything he needed and there were no problems. It took about three hours, he said, to pull out the driveshafts, remove the transfer case, install a new upgrade, and put everything back in place. Everything seems fine

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Having problems

Excellent Quality Replacement Parts

I didn't have as much pump friction as some. I pulled my NP246 out of my '07 Suburban to see if there was a problem because I got (and still get) the famous GM clunk. I was hoping something in the transfer case had worn out after 185k but no luck. While I was at it I decided to fix the TSB issue with these transfer cases. I replaced and reinstalled the pump body. The product is of excellent quality and fits perfectly. Either you need it or you don't need it. If you have symptoms of pump…
