Fits C4 Corvette 1992

Comes with a very long harness which is very good. This fits my 1992 C4 Corvette. For this work on the same vehicle, do not use the wires behind the factory radio to connect to this harness. You will need to disconnect the wires from the ECM under the dash/glove box and connect those wires to this harness. Then route the wires back to your aftermarket radio.

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • Weight

Bose speakers fit most aftermarket stereos.

I fitted this cable to my 1996 Corvette which is fitted with factory Bose speakers, the wiring harness appears to be of good quality and works as it should but once installed the speakers make a popping sound Noise when I turn the stereo on or off (common problem that I've now found out about). I don't think it will hurt, but it's annoying. So next time I'll try a 4 way ground loop isolator connected between the head unit and the wiring harness and see what happens.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Working speed

Is working. But modification required

Perfect suspension but if you use it on old Cadillacs with factory Bose (where each speaker has its own built in amplifier) you will get noise when you turn the car on. The first step is to buy 2 ground loop isolators. This takes care of the "pop" between tracks or switching stations. Next thing you need to do is do a little rewiring in the trunk where this makes a connection. Note. If you're not an installer, this doesn't make sense. The problem is cod when you turn on the radio. So you need…

Pros
  • Easy Tuning
Cons
  • Much

Bose speakers fit most aftermarket stereo systems.

I installed this wire in my 1996 Corvette with factory Bose speakers. The wiring harness seems to be of good quality and works as it should, but after installing everything, the speakers make a popping noise when I turn the stereo on or off (a common problem I've found now). I don't think it does any harm, but it's annoying. So I'll try a 4-way ground loop next time. I connected the insulator between the head unit and the wiring harness and see what happens.

Pros
  • 17" Tuner Travel Bypass Wiring Harness and Bose Amp Integration Harness
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Does what it's supposed to do but for those new to Bose it would be nice to get some instructions. Once we got it sorted all went well although the amount of wire and coax required significant cutting and soldering to avoid extra turns of wire. In summary, this is a good product that does a job that would overwhelm an inexperienced person.

Pros
  • Allows an aftermarket radio to be installed using existing factory wiring and connectors
Cons
  • Something else

When I got this I didn't quite understand what it was doing. This harness completely replaces the main unit and CDM receiver box. You can dispose of both. What it retains is a boosted Bose speaker system. This means that each speaker has its own amplifier and expects low level RCA inputs (e.g. microphone level) as inputs. There is also a relay in the system that is turned on by the blue wire that feeds these amps. I had an issue with my car where this relay wasn't working so there was no sound…

Pros
  • Keeps the factory Bose system
Cons
  • Was damaged
