Bottle cap could use a more secure shipping cap

As others have noted, contents can easily leak as the top cap is not secure. I also wish there were instructions on the bottle. Otherwise it says so.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Reliability

Shine for granite sink

Great for brightening up my black granite kitchen sink. I have hard water so I cleaned it first and then applied this oil. It looks like the sink just got installed! This bottle will last a year or two. Highly recommended!

Enjoy your meal. But it took some time to settle in.

Worked well on my cutting board. It took a few days for the raw board to fully soak, but once waxed it was fine. Just use a small cloth to apply a very small amount at a time.

Does what I need for household items

A new guest washed all of my olive wood and bamboo kitchen utensils in a high temperature dishwasher. I was afraid they were all broke. This mineral oil makes them like new again, absorbs immediately, leaves no smudges and the dishes are ready to use.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Good but not great

Fulfills its purpose with honor

This product has helped bring several cutting boards back from the dead. My grandmother had some wonderful wooden cutting boards that weren't looking very good anymore. After a bit of oil and grease on the elbows, they look fantastic again. Give your old or even thrift store chopping boards new life and get ready to last another ten years or so.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Functionality

Maybe try it in a sealed bottle?

Would not buy again as the product is not sold in a sealed bottle. where other consumers might be wary of using an unsealed liquid product. I definitely didn't like that the contents leaked during shipping and I had to clean other items in the box.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Ideal for protecting wood without chemicals or water.

Bought to oil the neck of my bass guitar collection. Commercial fretboard oils often consist of mineral oil mixed with water and are expensive. Why pay more than $10 for a few ounces of mineral oil mixed with a few ounces of H2O? You don't want to rub water into the fretboard and trap it with oil. For half the price you get pure cooking oil and even with 7 basses this bottle will last me until the end of the century.

Pros
  • Wood conditioners, waxes and oils
Cons
  • Some bugs

I didn't want a refund

When I was doing the review I just wanted to let you know of the unusual circumstance that caused the bottle to leak a bit, but it only shrunk a quarter or a half of an inch. Please charge me again and I never expected you to give me a refund. I never talked about coming back. Just thought you should check your stock to make sure no other bottle has a screw top. I will feel very bad if you don't charge me for the product as it is in perfect condition and will last a long time. Thank you and…

Quality Oil in Household Items

I used this oil on a handmade cutting board. My board has different types of wood stacked together: mahogany, cherry, etc. First I sanded the board to reduce knife cuts. Second, I rinsed the board with water and let it dry completely. Third, I applied the oil to the fabric, but applying it directly to the board worked better. After 24 hours I saw that the board was wet so I applied a second coat. The oil was thick enough not to run; it spreads easily, evenly, etc. A little is enough. I liked…
