👞 Classic Comfort: Minnetonka Original Cowhide Driving Moccasin for Timeless Style Review

I've become so lazy and with age I find myself, I'm looking for material comforts, you could say. I've always wanted a good pair of nice leather moccasins. I first saw this particular pair at Lord and Taylors for a lot less than I paid for them at Revain. That was part of my birthday present. These loafers are very nicely finished but the pointed toe combined with the bulbous rubber sole makes the carpet sticky, which can cause stumbling for older owners. It was difficult to return them because the person they were bought for didn't want to give them away. This is a very good quality for moccasins, but a squarer toe creates less of a trip hazard. We have found that choosing a size that fits the length and width of the foot results in longer or pointier shoes.

I like the rubber sole of these moccasins. My previous moccasins had leather soles and although I liked them, I slipped on stairs, carpets, etc. The rubber sole solves this problem. One thing I always find problematic about the Minnetonka moccasins is that the leather laces often come undone. I used leather scraps to tie a knot so they don't undo, which worked great. In any case, they are more comfortable than my boats, although probably not as good in the wet.

This is actually my fourth pair of moccasins in 22 years. Although they're marketed as "driver's moccasins," I've used them as indoor slippers in which I can walk outside to get a newspaper or mail without changing my shoes. I wear them to the store sometimes too. I love her! They will stretch a little after wearing but will become more comfortable. They leave no marks on wooden floors and do not slip on carpets. I have to say I'm delighted with these driving slippers. after all. I had to buy a shoe stretcher and stretch it for several months to even get on my feet. I bought the size advertised and almost sent it back. But I'm glad I didn't. Back. I couldn't wear socks with it even if I tried. Maybe they'll stretch more over time, and I can. I suggest you take one size bigger, I would like it. Otherwise they are very, very well made. They look amazing and my feet are finally loving them. World. :)

I bought a size that fits my legs tightly. After wearing them for about 30 minutes, I noticed that the skin on the top of the foot was rubbing, causing severe discomfort. I probably should have bought a half size bigger to wear short socks with it. I thought they would look better without socks but the skin is too rough for me. I found and bought a pair of slippers instead.

Replaced my 16 year old pair this month. They last so long. At about 4 years old they start to lose feathers underneath. Leather floor so a waterproofing spray is a must when running errands in inclement weather. Worn in snow and rain. Not as soft as mush. I would really love her in Moose.
