Moen SR2100BN Shower Brushed Nickel Review

These hangers were supposed to be made out of superman steel. It's almost impossible to hang it on the shower curtain rod. It was too difficult for me to open, hook and then try to close. It's so tight! I have double hooks in my main bath so I know the beads work great. But I'm not trying to break a sweat or break my arm. I do not recommend. Returned.

RUST RUST RUST Moen, how could you associate your excellent name with such rubbish? After several years of use, they have rusted beyond recognition. There are 17 other reviews saying the same thing. The description says ""Anti-corrosion lubricant helps prevent rust." They either need to improve lubricants or change their advertising. The metal used rusts too easily. No amount of lube will save this pot. Very disappointed that Moen allows this.

I like that it's relatively minimalist. Well done, strong. It's a little annoying having to fiddle with the latch/hook to attach them to the shower rail, but once it's there and turned on, they're there. I got them to replace the ones that had exposed hooks. This was very annoying because if I ever opened the shower curtain roughly it was bound to fall down. With that in mind, a little extra effort may be required to get these rings on/off the stem.

I would like to return them but with the current home project I have two months from the return date before I get them to assemble rod. The first cracked in my hands as I tried to open it. With something supposedly "metallic" you would expect that I could slowly open it and speak to it. nope It just broke off, even to a width that didn't fit the MOEN shower rail. I ordered these based on the Moen name and was surprised at how cheap they looked when they arrived. As I hooked it through the shower curtain and lining, I immediately noticed that it left rust on the fabric of my outer curtain. I took it off and looked closely. These brushed nickel moen shower rings are definitely not brushed nickel and I doubt they are moen. All the other bathroom fixtures they were installed in are Moen brushed nickel so I'm not sure how they would look if they were actually brushed nickel - these rings are chrome in colour.
