I ordered antique brass. Well-sculpted, authentic Oily look. With the option to drill into wood or drill a larger hole into a typical plaster ceiling and use a butterfly drywall anchor. You attach the chain to the pendant light.

It's got all the parts you need, whether it's bolt drilling (the tip of a screw that goes straight into the bolt) or drywall (prying bolts). it hasn't fallen out yet even though I put it in. Two thumbs up.

Shown is a dark metal finish that appears to be oil bronze. I should have read the description that it was "antique brass" but instead I just assumed the hook would look like the picture. It doesn't, which makes it unusable for me. Can be a wonderful product but I wanted one like the one in the photo!
