Unreliable and overhyped snap fastener

As a result of my tests, I determined that this snap fastener is just a cheap knockoff. Despite its claims of being stainless and sturdy, it failed to hold up under moderate tension. I wouldn't trust this product in an industrial or scientific setting.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Unreliable and overhyped.

No stainless steel!

Metal plating. Possibly zinc alloy. This is not stainless steel and the image in the description should be changed accordingly. Cheaply made double-sided closure.

Pros
  • Size: 9 x 2.8 cm / 3.5 x 1.1 in.
Cons
  • Long delivery

Quality Latches

These latches are inexpensive and smooth, but I had to put silicone spray in each one to get them to open smoothly. After that they worked perfectly. I used one temporarily on a stainless steel Greyhound line and it sawed through the clamp in just a couple of weeks with an energetic 55 pound dog. Of course I need to have a pulley on the go - more on that.

Pros
  • The reversible design makes the latches more versatile and easier to close and open.
Cons
