I spent an obscene amount of money on rechargeable AA batteries. I've tried a few different ones including the basic Eneloop AA. These Eneloop Pro batteries are the best. And while Pro batteries are more expensive, they're cheaper because they last longer. They also seem to tolerate over-discharging better. This will kill many types of rechargeable batteries.
