Works great with Dragon software which is important. In many ways the transcription from this device is better than from a microphone, live. Compact. Get the device with the appropriate Philips software if you intend to use it with Dragon.

I used to have a Phillips LFH 9600 which I really liked. I bought this updated model but it's actually a downgrade. When dictating, he misses many words and the accuracy is very low. I stopped using it and bought another refurbished LFH 9600 which works great.

This product unexpectedly failed 3.5 years after purchase. For the cost we expected it to take a lot longer. I purchased an extended warranty, but it expired 6 months ago. WARNING - these devices are not serviceable. If it breaks and you don't have a warranty, you're out of luck.

I often use this to dictate portions of work in progress. For me, this has been a boon for productivity. The voice recorder is easy to use, feels comfortable in the hand, the large screen is comfortable and easy to read, and the side switch is conveniently placed. I'm not an audio-sensitive person, so I can't give an idea of how this sounds compared to other options, but it does the job I need it to. I would give this product 3 1/2 stars but the quality doesn't quite live up to four stars. Reason: Voice activation feature is very bad. This won't work if your lips are barely touching the mic and the mic setting isn't set to "Meet." This recorder also only allows you to choose the output quality as WAV file and no other options.
