Great headset best in accessories and consumables

My employer sent me the one ear version and it was always on mute. I bought it for myself and couldn't be happier! The sound is crisp and clear, the headset is very light and comfortable. It has a 4 pin Plantronics connector so you will need an extra part like the Plantronics DA80 I had anyway. I am very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Pricey but I keep coming back

The durability and sound quality of these things just keeps coming to mind. I have not yet found a cheap alternative to a headset of sufficient quality and with a mini jack connection. We mostly use Logitech USB headsets on our VoIP phones, but the VVX 500s don't remember volume for USB like those that plug into the mini phone jack, so we buy them for that purpose.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Out of fashion

They work great with our Cisco VoIP phones 7960

We have at least 60 of these phones in our office. For people who talk on the phone all day, this is ideal. They work great with our Cisco 7960 VoIP phones. They are binaural, so both ears are closed and both ears receive sound. I prefer this to sound through one ear. If you're a secretary or want to make side calls without removing your headset, go for the one-ear mono version. We've never had a broken one and our folks aren't the gentlest of people so they seem to last over three years of…

Stable and reliable microphone and headset.

I've been using this brand of headset for over a decade and it's consistent and has a reliable mic and headphones. The noise canceling microphone works very well. In a more open space where many people are on the phone, the headset does not filter out extraneous room noise. You'll have to invest in more expensive noise-cancelling headphones to drown out other annoying voices. For these earphones, you need to buy a phone connection cable depending on your phone. Customers will not hear garbage trucks, blowers or construction!

I work from home and provide technical support at a call center. Having moved to the city from a quiet village, I was concerned that callers might hear garbage trucks and the like. I had to park the garbage trucks right outside the window, the jackhammer at the site, and the blowers about 20 feet away. I've asked customers if they heard background noise and everyone said no - amazing! I usually wear the headset so that only one ear is covered, but being able to use both when things get loud was

Very good headset, best among headsets

I have been using Plantronic headsets for many years and have only been disappointed once (microphone is not adjustable on cheaper models). If you're looking for a good, reliable headset that's adjustable and lets you position the mic in a comfortable position, then this is it. The noise-cancellation for the microphone should be passive, but that seems to help. I work a lot in server rooms and to those I speak to it seems better as fan noise seems to be suppressed. Corner. That would be fine…

Works great with T-Coil hearing aids!

I wear a hearing aid and can't hear well with my old headset. I called Plantronics and asked for their recommendation and they recommended either this model or the HW251N mono ear model. Each of these headsets activates the telecoil in my hearing aids. So when I put the headset on my hearing aids, the telecoil activates and I hear all sounds directly through my hearing aids. The sound is very loud and clear. I have to admit that it takes some getting used to the headphones fitting snugly to my…
