Terrible Leak! What you put in ends before you finish ironing! The water and s should stay in and evaporate as intended. Not highly recommended!

So far this is a great light iron. It glides easily when squeezed and has a good vapor. This is a better iron than the Sunbeam I had for about the same price. If you iron in heavy conditions this may not be for you.

Replaced old Proctor with this - same style and type but with clear water tank. The previous model was a real steamer - great for shirts. This is weak compared to the steam bath.

I had a Proctor Silex a few years ago which was great. Unfortunately, he fell on a pile of bubble wrap that melted on the iron surface. I thought I ordered an exact replacement in kind, but this one is a little different. The old one had a rubber plug on the filler neck. The new one has a small door, no rubber. The cable is always in the way! The iron does not sit on the board, the cable gets in the way even when sitting! The design of the iron is really just a mess. Why is the control knob not visible and also very difficult to get under the curved handle. Advertising gone! The water runs out, the position of the steamer chooses when to steam by itself, not a good iron at all.
