Cheaply made but works well. The mines are broken

Broken after 2 months of parking on a bike. The high and low beam switch is defective. Everything else works as intended. It's metal, but the inside isn't very good.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • There are nuances

The switch is good, there is no diagram

The switch appears to be of good quality but there is no diagram or documentation. The comments on Revain seem to provide some information on hooking it up, but didn't help installing it on my bike. Many people have complained about this, but the company does not provide any useful information.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Like a factory original, has all the functions for lights/signals/horn

There is no reason to take another version of this unit. This is a great price and absolutely matches the OEM handlebar controllers. Feels good and solid with good markings. It looks very stylish and goes well with the rest of the controllers or switches.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Works with some modifications

The quality of the case is poor at best and does not match the advertised bar size. The quality of the derailleur inside seems good and as this is a custom job I decided to take a chance and use a dremel to adjust it. The casting of the case is uneven, but there is an idea to fix that as well. In terms of durability, you'll have to wait for the build to complete before testing it.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Price correct for switch

This worked great on my 86 Virago 700. NOTE TO USER: The turn signal switch is basically a left switch, it stays in the left position during use and turns off the middle position. You don't need to press to turn off. While it wasn't plug and play, I had to follow the wires to the switch to figure out what it did. The red paint on this one is sloppy! Someone never knew how to stay in line. although I like the slimmer look. Overall, this is a great bang for your buck.

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • All right

Switch Hi/Lo Beam Intermittent

When I received the unit I plugged it in to verify that all the switches were working properly. When I turn on the HiBeam switch, I get reliable continuity. When switching back to LoBeam, this switch only provides continuity 50% of the time (sometimes less). Sometimes when I push the wire harness in the switch box I can get the LoBeam switch to work. Possibly bad manufacturing practice. I bought two of these and hope the second one works better. A little disappointing. I'm not sure about…

Does what you want and is worth it's value

It's made out of a medal as opposed to a single plastic witch's tooth. The only thing I didn't like was the style of the turn signal switch, it's a button that needs to be pressed and moved. It's fairly stiff but should loosen up with some use. All in all a good derailleur for supermoto or any other project. It would be better if you didn't have to rearrange the cables, just plug them in. I ordered 3 versions of this diff, all had different colored wires and none of them only connected or…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • I have no ill feelings about it, everything is fine
