Great product for short scissors but nothing heavier. Had to buy another rod to hang my 43 inch kitchen curtains. They weren't heavy, but they sagged down the middle. Again, the product will only work with the lightest screens and only if you don't open and close the screens as this can cause the bar to fall.

I bought 2 poles 2 weeks ago and hung a 1.2 pound curtain on each. Installing the poles took about 5 minutes and was easy. The instructions were in Japanese but the pictures are clear. So far they have served their purpose. Update: 3 months later and these bars have never fallen off or shifted. Just make sure you paste them into a window that's actually the right size for it.

One star deducted for 2 reasons. First, because the perimeter of the bar is very, very small. In fact, you can buy the exact same thing at Dollar General. The wands are made of thin, light metal and very cheaply built. The spring tension mechanism is a great concept in theory, but these bars don't work well in practice. The feather is slightly "de-feathered" and the wands fall off when hit lightly. Part of the problem is the cheap plastic caps on the ends of the bars. They don't provide enough "grip" to the surface to which the bars are attached, allowing the spring to easily come out of its spring-loaded position. The caps don't provide enough…
