Must Must Must be purchased when replacing headlight assemblies.

I rarely do anything smart, but buying these clips was a smart move. It's almost impossible to remove the old clips without damaging them. I mounted new headlight assemblies on 96 F150. The original clips were attached for 23 years and have come off hard!

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Did a job in lighting assemblies and accessories

Ordered because I could see the number was used to adapt a Ford headlight assembly to a fiberglass RV front cover. Realizing that the job was going to be quite challenging because it "didn't fit," I hired her. I was told they needed everything that was in the package and they sent me back everything they needed. So everything went well and it was necessary

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Bought but not needed al.

Purchased to facilitate the installation of new headlight housings. All were not needed as I used the existing screw terminals on the old housings, simply unscrewed the set screws all the way out and screwed the bulbs into the new housing after removing those on the new blocks. Saved a lot of scratches and hassle as the old clips were very difficult to remove.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Get the job done!

From my Ford Ranger 4x4 in 2000 I threw away the old fogs and installed a new pair of headlights. I just ripped out the old headlight clips with pliers without worrying about whether they're reusable or not and just installed the new clips with the new headlights. No renovation drama. End of story, beautiful! The new headlights look great and now give off a lot more light!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • There are nuances

Fits my 1999 F-250 Super Duty

Amazon originally said these clamps didn't fit my truck on the product page, but they looked close enough so I bought them. I thought that id return the worst case scenario for them. So when I used them, they turned out to work great. Put new ones everywhere because I'm changing headlights. I threw compared to the stock (OEM) I pulled out and these and they look a little different but they work in exactly the same way.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Very good or better than OEM clips

Very good quality, I think they are better than the OEM clips which broke when replacing the headlight housing. My 2002 Ford F-350 SuperDuty required 2 clips per headlight (4 total). They are required when replacing certain Ford headlight lenses/housings and should have been included with new ones, but I wasn't aware of this until I made the replacement. 2 of 4 originals broke off. Buy them first before changing lenses in case the OEM clips break.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Only available in black

If you're replacing your headlight assemblies, get them!

If you're replacing your headlight assemblies, get them! My F250 was used and when the previous owner was dealing with the headlights he lost or broke a couple of these clips and used steel wire to make the replacement clips - they were almost impossible to remove and damaged the guide pins when removed. Glad I replaced the assemblies and had no intention of reusing them, but I ordered these clips along with the headlight assemblies based on the recommendations and I'm glad I did.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Low

Not as strong as Ford factory clips

Anyone who has changed old Ford headlights knows how frustrating these clips are. They are difficult to reach and even more difficult to remove. This is possible, but often with some distortion or damage to the clip needed to install the replacement lights. I bought these after destroying one of the 6 Ford clamps. Luckily I only needed one because these clips will bend and break under the force required to put them on the lantern bolts. With a little patience and fine surgical precision, I…

Pros
  • Great value
Cons
  • Disappears

There is no other way: Lights and lighting accessories

Recently changed headlights on my '96 Ford F250. These clips are by far the biggest challenge on the job. Definitely not one of Ford's best ideas. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to do this since I'm a backyard mechanic. easy's saw simply switches in place to remove the entire grill assembly. After trying the tactic on the spot and breaking all three old brackets, I proceeded to disassemble the entire grill assembly, which was well worth the extra effort. You can then conveniently access…

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
